The Geithner Republican Irresponsibility From AP: Treasury-designate Timothy Geithner emerged unscathed from his confirmation hearing, apologizing for having failed to pay $34,000 in taxes earlier in the decade.Tens of hundreds if not tens of thousands of Americans lost their property and/or freedom to the government for owing sums less than or equal to 1/10 of that tax debt as their own respective tax debt. For his own excessive debt to this country he barely suffers and then he gets an incredible responsibility, massive glory, fantastic honor, and massive power. The Republicans and the Democrats endorse this travesty; this is sick. Timothy Geithner's irresponsibility and bad behavior should not be rewarded; the Federal Legislators are being irresponsible by failing to take this fiend to task. The man charged with tight responsibility over federal economic matters should not be a man who not only makes an ordinary mistake but a man who willfully got away with cheating on his taxes. Other men have suffered more for lesser crimes quite literally! I believe Timothy Geithner will be voted through with barely 2 or 6 votes against. I do not know which of the behavior I have listed above is more disgusting. Feel free to comment by clicking the "Apologies" link below. Labels: Democrats, politics, Republicans President Obama's Economic Irony, straight from Michigan WLAJ interviewed economics Professor Charles Ballard regarding President Barack Obama and the financial crisis. Professor Ballard, he who taught me the bulk of my knowledge of Microeconomics at Michigan State University (and who wrote his own textbook, not a mere course pack) is the go-to guy for all the local (television) news outlets whenever they need a sudden insight on something economic in their political reporting. In this instance Professor Ballard informed us that one of the best things President Obama can do and will attempt is to heal the American market/economy in part by restoring confidence in the economy. to set a tone, a more optimistic tone, "let's-roll-up-our-sleeves" sort of tone. I think that has already had some positive effects--Certainly a man with as much public influence as Barack Obama can instill and inspire consumer confidence to the extent that some benefit may occur for the country. (That is not a sarcastic statement). (Click the above link for video, not article. I make no promises for how long it will stay up/active). What got me incensed (I demand an apology, get it?) is that Senator Barack Obama, when he was merely a candidate for President, would and did run down the American economy all the time. The fact is that a man with as much influence as Presidential Candidate Barack Obama wielded, every word he uttered as to how poor the economy was hurt confidence in the economy. The cheapest economist will tell you that confidence in the US market has a relationship to its health and growth. When confidence decreases so does the health of the market. For his own political gain Barack Obama spent chunks of 2008 hurting the American economy for his own political gain. The damage done to the markets, the damage he did to the markets, caused people to lose money, lose their jobs, hurt families. Obedience to the Mosaic Law Jesus Christ came to fulfill the Law, the Law in question is the Hebrew Law, coming in two components. 1) The Levitical Laws are built to set the Jewish people apart as God's people. Certain rules stand to make them seem different. As they are held accountable people can look to them. 2) The Ten Commandments are universal and apply to everyone, not merely Jews, Israelites, Hebrews. The inability to measure up to the expectations of good, to be what we know of right and wrong, was established by our nature. This gap created by the inability was bridged by Christ. Hence Christ came for all, and made Judaism into something inclusive and evangelical, assuming that Western Civilization organically flows from Judaism into Christianity. Carlson charges, “It will prohibit anything that suggests that the natural family -- a man and a woman, married, with children -- is normal or typical.” “Thus, under this latest advance toward a Brave New World of polymorphous perversion, California textbooks will no longer be able to use words like ‘mother and father’ and ‘husband and wife,’ because they suggest that heterosexuality is the norm – even though that is manifestly the case, even in California,” Carlson commented. Teachers and students who oppose same-sex marriage, who suggest that homosexuality isn’t innate, or who express disapproval of cross-dressing or sex-change operations could be disciplined as “harassers.” Unbelievably, the law even allows students to use the restrooms and locker rooms of the opposite sex if they identify with that gender. Carlson observed: “California parents who don’t want to see their children subjected to gender indoctrination will now have no alternative but to withdraw from the public education system – which they will be required to fund, nonetheless.” “This is another sign that the gay-rights movement isn’t interested in non-discrimination – SB 777 discriminates against families as well as adherents to traditional religions – but in turning the public schools into indoctrination centers and forcing its views on an unwilling public.” Along with Paul Mero, Carlson is the co-author of “The Natural Family: A Manifesto” (for more information on “The Natural Family,” go to www.familymanifesto.org). "Please join the Indiana Knights of Columbus and other concerned citizens of Indianapolis in speaking out against one of Planned Parenthood's local supporters. Please see the following release from IN Right to Life for details: National City Bank facing protest this Saturday The Indiana Knights of Columbus will coordinate a peaceful and prayerful protest of National City Bank this Saturday, October 18, over concerns related to National City Bank's support for Indiana's largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood. The event will be held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the NCB Building located at 101 West Washington Street in Indianapolis. During the event, several Knights of Columbus members will be closing their bank accounts with National City. Earlier this year, National City Bank was touted as a major corporate sponsor of Planned Parenthood of Indiana's "Gathering of Goddesses and Gods" fundraiser held in Indianapolis. The event reportedly raised more the $200,000. In its most recent annual report, Planned Parenthood of Indiana acknowledges that it did 5,160 abortions in 2007, roughly half of all abortions done in Indiana. An event flyer distributed by the Indiana Knights of Columbus states, "As consumers, we have a right to demand that the companies we do business with follow our ethical values. Should these companies choose to do otherwise, we will take our business elsewhere." It is not enough just to touch the buttons in order, you must actually describe a circle shape with the mouse. You may need to do it several times. Eventually, however, an Original Mode game will start. Original Mode is the same as Bejeweled 1; Classic Mode with no Power Gems or Hyper Cubes.
